When we first arrived in the Hermitage Valley, we were captivated by the beauty of it all. The mountains, the quiet, the sense of space and possibility. It felt like a place where something meaningful could grow, even before we knew what shape it would take.
Over the years we shaped that early dream into what is now Wildebraam Berry Estate. It grew slowly, with plenty of learning along the way, but always with a clear intention. We wanted to create a place that felt welcoming and flavourful, a place rooted in the valley we had come to love. What began as a simple dream gradually became a destination where visitors can taste, explore and experience the Hermitage Valley the way we first experienced it ourselves.
Visit our tasting room, where country hospitality still means a little something for free. The tasting room and deli offer liqueurs, jams, relishes and both fresh and frozen berries throughout the year, all handmade right here on the farm. Whether you come for a quiet moment in the valley or a day filled with flavour, whether you arrive curious, hungry or simply in need of fresh air, Wildebraam has a way of making people feel at ease.
Our team shares that same enthusiasm and loves telling the stories behind what we make. Guests can enjoy a tasting experience that is unlike anything else in the region, with flavours that reflect the land, the seasons and the years of craft behind them. From November to January visitors can also pick their own youngberries and blackberries, a simple pleasure that remains close to our hearts.
What matters most to us is that Wildebraam continues to feel like a place where people can slow down, enjoy good flavours and connect with the valley. That intention has guided us from the beginning and still shapes everything we do today.
